How much does a website cost?
The short answer: It depends.
The long answer: The cost of a website depends on the number
of pages and the complexity of the features you're looking for. My website
package starts at $5,000.
How long does it take?
The short answer: It depends.
The long answer: A typical site takes about 12 weeks. However,
the timeline depends on a number of factors, including: the scope of the
project, how prepared you are, and how responsive you are during each stage.
I'll provide a timeline at the start of the project so you'll know exactly
when you can expect things to be done.
How does payment work?
The short answer: My payment plan is simple. I ask for one third to reserve your project, one third
at project kickoff, and the remaining third when your new site goes live.
The long answer: There isn't one.
Do we need to meet face to face?
The short answer: Not usually.
The long answer: I have clients all across North America,
and I'm used to working remotely. We'll have check-ins over the phone or
on Zoom when necessary. The rest of our communication will happen through
e-mail or Freedcamp.
Can you host my website?
The short answer: No.
The long answer: No, but I can make suggestions. My website
is happily hosted with Siteground.com. They're affordable and have great customer
service. If you need, I can also help you get everything set up.
Why WordPress?
The short answer: Why not?
The long answer: Because you're too busy to worry about a
complicated website. Because you have limited man power. Because you to get
in and get out as quickly as possible. Because you want a whole community
of support in case you have questions. Because you want flexibility and functionality.
Because you want control.
Do you work with any platforms other than WordPress?
The short answer: Sometimes.
The long answer: I'm a big fan of WordPress for its vast
functionality (for me, as a developer) and ease-of-use (for you, as the site
administrator). I find other platforms to be too restricting for the type
of websites I typically build. Many of the world's biggest brands use WordPress.
If it's good enough for the Rolling Stones, it's good enough for me.
